Remarkably, this Standard Fordson has been owned by the same family from new but is now looking for a new custodian. 
 
It’s had a fairly easy life and has been well-maintained, this is evident in the number of original features and the overall condition.
 
It’s fitted with a nice pair of 28” rear wheels and original tyres, the engine block is the original and is free from any frost damage. It features the original manifold, and the rear wings and footplate are also original.
 
The magneto has been overhauled in recent years and the tractor is very easy to start, usually firing on the third pull. When running it ticks over nicely with no knocks or rumbles and the clutch is perfect.
 
The tractor is fitted with the 22/44 gearbox with a low top speed, but the addition of the 28” rear wheels allows the tractor to move at a sensible speed and is a pleasure to drive.
 
On the rear, it has been fitted with a Russell Adjustable Hitch, which is ideal for ploughing. 
 
It’s worth noting that there is some rust in the bottom of the wings which would be an easy repair at this time if desired. 
 
In all a nice example of a wartime tractor ready to be enjoyed!
