This ‘Big Old American’ Minneapolis Moline ZTS was designed as a 2-plough, 23hp tractor. This tractor would have been a later import and has been residing a private collection for some years. It features a straight petrol, 4-cylinder engine. The Minneapolis-Moline ZTS was the standard, or fixed tread, version of the Z series.
 
We have recently re-commissioned it and it’s fantastic running tractor.
 
This MM features a recently refurbished starter motor and 2 new rear tyres.
 
The tinwork is excellent throughout, it appears that it’s probably had a new set of rear wings at some point, which are rust free and nice and straight.
 
The engine runs very well and pulls well too, with a good turn of speed on the road - around 20mph! It doesn’t have any frost damage and does hold good oil pressure. It starts instantly with a push of the starter button.
 
The tractor is fitted with lights and a dynamo, these will want re-wiring should you wish to do so.
 
The brakes work, but could do with some adjustment, little jobs for the next custodian!
 
I have always liked these MM’s, having had serval, they have a wonderful exhaust note, plenty of power, and make really good workhorses. They are great fun to take to working days and not too heavy to transport either.
